First Full Week

WOW!! This has been a GREAT week!! We have already learned to read the color words RED, BLUE, YELLOW, GREEN, and PURPLE. We made solar bracelets on Wednesday when we talked about the sun and the color yellow. We have started our first unit in Math and have been sorting all types of things. Our favorite thing to sort was BUTTONS. We have learned that items can be sorted in many ways such as size, colors, shape, etc. We have been counting the children in our classroom every day and we have ten boys and nine girls which equals 19 all together. We have a wonderful group of children in our class this year, and I want to say a special "Thank you" to you, the parents, for being sure your child had all their necessary kindergarten supplies. Remember we start promptly at 7:35a.m., and dismiss at 1:25 pm each day.

Kindergarten Parent's Night

WELCOME!!! We will have an informal "Kindergarten Parent's Night" on Tuesday, August 16 at 6pm in the Library at J.W.Wiseman Elementary. All kindergarten parents please plan to join us. Kindergarten classes will start full time on August 22. Our daily school schedule time is 7:40 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Welcome Back

It is almost time to start a new school year. Our classroom has been painted and I am starting to decorate the classroom. The supply list should be posted on the school website. Registration day will be August 4. Kindergarten students are on a staggered schedule for the first two weeks of school, you will need to come on August 4 to find out your child's scheduled days. Field Day Changed

Field Day will be changed till Thurday May 19, because of weather.

***NEW DATES and TIMES for MAY ACTIVITIES****

**May 17-Field Day-8:00am -Your child may bring towel or blanket to sit on, sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, bottle of water, and a bag to keep their stuff in (Please label your child's things). We will be outside ALL day.

**May 23-Kindergarten Recognition Program-8:00am -You and your family are invited.

**May 24-End of Year Party- 12:30pm - Please send $1 or $2 to help pay for party food and drinks by Friday May 20th.

IMPORTANT DATES IN MAY

MAY 17- Field Day- Starts promptly at 8 am. Children MUST wear tennis shoes

MAY 23- Kindergarten Recognition Program- 9am. Make plans to come and see your child sing

MAY 25- Last day of School
